Bhutan Prime Minister Picking up Garbage on his way to Office

“If you are not able to manage and throw your waste in proper place, please don’t throw it down the slope, keep it besides the road so that it is convenient for me to pick it up and throw it in a proper place,” Bhutan Prime Minister Lyonchhen Tshering Tobgay said picking up the garbage on his way to office from his residence in Taba this morning.
Lyonchhen, Aum Tashi Doma and few staff from Cabinet and Prime Minister’s Office collected one Hilux full of garbage consisting of baby diapers, pads, bottles, household items, plastics etc. Acknowledging the effort of Thromde and media to curb this bad habit, Lyonchhen said that people don’t like thrash in their homes but don’t hesitates to throw it in open space. “If this is the mentality of our people, how are we going to keep our capital city clean,” Lyonchhen added.
