Parties should come together for statute amendment: Gharti
Speaker Onasari Gharti has said the political parties should be serious about the issue of constitution amendment as several sections are saying that the charter is incomplete.
Inaugurating the Suryodaya Buddha Bihar at Chhoti Morang in Dharan on
Tuesday, Gharti said, “Political parties should forge consensus on constitution implementation as they did while promulgating it.”
She stressed the need for serious discussion on matters relating to constitution amendment for reaching a logical conclusion.
The Buddha Bihar inaugurated on the border of Dhankuta and Sunsari districts will have 1,000 statues of the enlightened national icon of Nepal.
A 175-foot tall statue of the Buddha would be the centre of attraction there.
